David Armstrong

David worked eleven years for a high tech engineering company after obtaining his degree in electronics at Napier University Edinburgh. In 2011 David began a 2-year apprenticeship program at Charlotte Baptist Chapel. During this time David completed a course in biblical studies at Cornhill in Glasgow and Christian Counseling and Education Foundation (www.ccef.org) distance education program. David is an Elder at Christ Church South Queensferry . He is married and has three children.

The CCEF distance education program is a comprehensive course of study. David has completed courses in a biblical view of personal change, developing effective helping relationships and caring ministries within the local church. He has learnt how the Bible offers a rich and deeply theological perspective on life’s issues from the age-old problems such as suffering, anger, fear and anxiety to the “modern” problems in the church such as guilt, abuse, legalism, bi-polar disorder, and addictions. David has also spent time developing the essential qualities of a biblical counselor and counseling observation at CCEF in Philadelphia.

Louise Macmillan

Louise has an MA from the University of Glasgow, and a BA in English literature from the Open University and a teaching qualification. She worked as a primary school teacher for several years.

For over 20 years, Louise has served churches in Fife and Edinburgh as a minister’s wife, gaining extensive pastoral and counselling experience.  Currently, she is involved in planting a new church in Edinburgh as well as providing pastoral care and counselling at St Columba’s Free Church in the city centre.

For the last four years she has studied counselling with the Christian Counselling and Education Foundation at Westminster Theological Seminary in Philadelphia and has been certified in practical counselling and theology. She has also audited courses in systematic theology at the Free Church College, Edinburgh under Professor Donald Macleod.

She has completed courses in the dynamics of Biblical Change, Helping Relationships, Marriage Counselling , Counselling children and adolescents and Dealing with depression and addictions.

Louise is married to Neil and they have 4 children. She was born and brought up on the Island of Lewis and likes nothing more than returning there to visit family.

Alison Watson

Alison has completed modules in biblical counselling both through the CCEF distance learning programme and through the BCUK certificate course.  She then went on to be a BCUK church intern for two years.   Alison works as a part-time GP and provides biblical counselling for Charlotte Chapel, her local church family as well as through Newgrowth Counselling.    Alison is married and has 3 children.

Zach Watt

Zach is currently the Associate Pastor for Discipleship and an elder at Greenview Church. Zach previously worked in business/IT for over 25 years during which time he embarked on Bible handling training with Cornhill Scotland (2010-12) and then Biblical Counselling with BCUK in 2016-2019.  On completing the BCUK Certificate studies, Zach did a 2 year internship with BCUK and his local church Greenview (Glasgow), and is now part of Newgrowth Counselling providing formal counselling services.  He also works with Hope for Glasgow addictions ministry and has delivered seminars on various Biblical counselling materials in Bible colleges and churches.  Zach is married and has 3 children.
